The Baxi Group Board of Directors is composed of the following members.

Martyn Coffey - Group CEO

Martyn Coffey - Group CEO

Martyn Coffey, appointed Group CEO in January 2008, joined Baxi UK in April 2005 as Chief Executive for the UK and Ireland. He previously held the position of Chief Executive for Pirelli Cables UK the largest affiliate in the Pirelli Cables group. Martyn worked for 5 years overseas with the group in the US, Canada and Australia. Prior to this he worked with STC part of the ITT Group. Martyn graduated in Mathematics in 1984.

Adrian Darling - Group Finance Director

Adrian Darling - Group Finance Director

Appointed January 2003. Formerly Group Finance Director with Powell Duffryn PLC, a London Stock Exchange listed group with businesses in the engineering and transport sectors which was taken private in 2000. Previously with KPMG London with whom he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Salvatore Basile - CEO Baxi International

Salvatore Basile - CEO Baxi International

Salvatore joined Baxi SpA in June 2000 as Managing Director designate and was appointed Managing Director on 1 January 2001.  He was previously Managing Director of a subsidiary of De Longhi called SIMAC Vetrella SpA after having had similar experience in other Italian and International Groups such as Saeco and ZF.  Salvatore is a graduate Mechanical Engineer and has an MBA at Centro Universitario Organizzazione Aziendale (CUOA); he speaks Italian and English.

Andrew Newington - Chairman

Andrew Newington is a managing partner with BC Partners, the European private equity fund. He joined BC Partners in 2000 from BT Capital, the private equity division of Bankers Trust. Prior to entering the industry, he qualified as a solicitor with Ashurst. He has an MBA from Columbia University and an LLB from Exeter.

Roberto Pisa

An Operating Partner with BC Partners, Roberto has been with the firm since 2006.  He previously held the position of Chief Restructuring Officer for the Fiat Group reporting to the Group CEO.  Prior to this, he worked for Pirelli Cables group, where he was a board member with responsibilities for Italy and subsequently for a global business unit.  Prior to Pirelli Cables, Roberto worked for General Electric (USA). His last appointment was President and CEO of GE Lighting Systems, based in North Carolina (USA). Roberto graduated in Economics from Bocconi University in 1985. He speaks Italian, French and English.

John Burgess

John Burgess is a co-founder BC Partners and was previously a Managing Partner and Chairman of Baxi Group.  Prior to founding BC Partners, John developed his private equity experience with Candover Investments and F&C Ventures, following over eight years with The Boston Consulting Group in Paris.  He is currently Chairman of Amadeus the largest airline reservation business in the world and has an MBA from INSEAD, an engineering degree from Cambridge and speaks French.

Hugh Mumford

Group Managing Director of Electra Fleming Limited and a director of a number of portfolio companies.

Justin Bateman

Justin Bateman is an executive with BC Partners in its London office and has been with the firm since 2000.  He was previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers Transaction Services where he started his career specialising in private equity transactions.  He has an MBA from INSEAD and a degree in economics from Cambridge University.
